Historical Antecedents and the Service Compact (SERVICOM) for all Nigerians Policy Framework for Efficient Public Service Delivery: An Overview and Exploration of Literature Review

Abstract

This paper, titled “Historical Antecedents and the SERVICM Framework for Efficient Public Service Delivery: An Overview and Exploration of Literature Review” observed the research problem that the public service delivery in Nigeria is still poor despite the various reforms that have been used to address it. It, therefore, set out to fulfill the objective of the exploration of empirical literature to confirm authors‟ observations of the state of the Nigerian public service delivery; and subsequently made relevant comments on the state of Nigerian public service delivery, which include that more steps will still need be taken to address this problem. The paper drew the conclusion that further empirical workson how to enhance the attitudinal behaviour of Nigerians needs be undertaken for coming up with the recommendations for practicing the basic tenets of SERVICOM in order to attain its underlying objectives.
